  SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
  The following check should be performed for the continued protection of the customer and service technician.

  Before returning the unit to the customer, make sure you make either (1) a leakage current check or (2) a line to chassis
  resistance check. If the leakage current exceeds 0.5 milliamps, or if the resistance from chassis to either side of the power

DISASSEMBLY
(Follow the procedure below in reverse order when reassembling.)

1. Top Panel Unit
 (1) Remove 10 side screws with washer and pull up the Top Panel Unit.

 (2) After pull up the Top Panel Unit, turn the back forward and then pull out the three FFC cable showed in the below drawing.

     Notes: Do not pull out aslant to prevent FFC cable damage. Do not fail to pull AC cord from wall outlet before disconnect
            the FFC cable.
            If AC cord is remained plugged into wall outlet, power is kept supplied in the unit, which may cause damage.

2. LCD MODULE
(1) Draw out the LCD slowly in the direction of the arrow until just before the FFC touches the rib.
    Note : The FFC could be damaged if it bangs against the rib.

2.6   Audio_OSC mode

                    to select "TOUCH_Init" from the FUNCTION
                    check mode's top menu, then press the
                    PARAMETERS knob to set "TOUCH_Init"

                    The detection level value and detection thresh-
                    old value stored in the EPROM in the touch
                    sensor's IC are rewritten with the factory
                    default values and the touch sensor IC is ini-
                    tialized.



                   When the process has completed normally,
                   "Complete!!" is displayed.
                      UP, R, DOWN and L display section
                     Displays the touch detection counter value
                     when the power is turned on.
                      Judge (70 300) display section
                     "OK" is displayed if the touch detection
                     counter value when not being touched is

                       completed.
                   6) DECK2 EEPROM Complete
                       Indicates that writing of the "verify check"
                       data for the Deck2 touch detection system is
                       completed.
                   When the process has completed abnormally,
                   "NG" [No Good] and "Fail (Check Touch
                   Device)" are displayed.
                   The touch device of the deck concerned, the
                   chip parts around the touch device and the
                   touch sensor unit of the side concerned must be
                   checked.

                       "Verifying DataBase" is displayed during verifi-
                       cation.
                       Once verification is completed, "Ready" is dis-
                       played, then "Select Param." appears.
                       Be careful not to operate the panel until
                       "Select Param." is displayed.



                      --Deck1 operation--
                        Once "Select Param." is displayed for Deck1
                        and Deck2, turn the Deck1 PARAMETERS
                        knob and select "File Name". Next, press the
                        PARAMETERS knob to set "File Name".

                       Once preparations for file playback on Deck1

                         Using the same procedure as with Deck1,
                        select and set the name of the file to be played
                        using the Deck2 PARAMETERS knob.
                        Once the file name is set, "Power Off/On Only"
                        is displayed.
                        Press the Deck2 PLAY/PAUSE (             ) button
                        to start heat run continuous playback.

                       If an error occurs when in the heat run mode,
                       the playback stop mode is set.

                       To end the heat run mode, press the CUE
                       (     ) buttons on Decks 1 and 2 to stop
                       playback, then turn the power off.                                                  (   )

                    this case, checking of the Deck1 switches is

                    When the PARAMETERS knob is pressed
                    while the "DECK2 SW CHK" mode is being

                   Checks (1) to (6) are performed.
                 1) FADERIN signal
                    When the cue or play signal is received on
                    the FADER1 and FADER2 terminal, the
                    "FADERIN CUE" or "FADERIN PLAY" check-
                    box on the screen is highlighted for 0.5 sec-
                    onds.
                 2) PARAMETERS knob
                    The checkbox display toggles between black
                    and white each time the PARAMETERS
                    knob is pressed.
                    When the PARAMETERS knob is turned, ->
                    (clockwise) or <- (counterclockwise) is dis-
                    played.
                 3) JOG disc
                    When the unit detects that the JOG disc has
                    been touched, the checkbox is highlighted
                    and the position of detection ("Right",
                    "Down", "Left" or "Up") is displayed in the [ ]
                    section.
                     When the JOG disc is turned, -> (clockwise)
                      or <- (counterclockwise) is displayed.
                      The counter value of the turning pulse num-
                      ber of the JOG disc is indicated on the
                      "COUNT" section within the range of 0 to
                      65535, counting up when turned clockwise,

                  this reason, do not use them as judging
                  criteria for the jog dial; handle them as ref-
                  erence data.

                 4) PITCH slider
                    The pitch slider's position reading value is
                    displayed on the "PITCH" section, the center
                    tap's position reading value at the "CENTER"
                    section, both within a range of 0 to 1022.

                 5) TOUCH sensor
                      When the Deck1 or Deck2 SOURCE

                     operation mode is set and the touch detec-
                     tion count value is displayed.

                     tion count section, this indicates that the set
                     is switching to the touch count operation
                     mode.
                      When switching to the touch count opera-
                     tion mode or after the mode is entered, the
                     "PANEL CHK" mode initial screen (---)
                     reappears if the Deck1 or Deck2 SOURCE
                     (      ) button is pressed.
                      Touch count operation when the JOG disc
                     is not being touched:
                     It is normal if the displayed touch count
                     value is between 70 and 300, and if the dif-
                     ference between the latest count value dis-
                     played and the previous count value is less
                     than 50.

                     The judgment result is indicated "OK" or
                     "NG" [No Good]. If the difference between

                     "NG" [No Good] is displayed.

VERSION UPGRADE PROCEDURE OF FIRMWARE
Use the procedure described below to update the firmware to a newer version.

                           Store the file (file name : HD2500.BIN) for
                           updating the firmware in the root directory of
                           the built-in hard disk drive or USB device.

                           If the file for updating the firmware is stored on
                           a USB device, connect the USB device to the
                           USB A terminal.

                           Pressing the Deck1's SOURCE (              ) but-
                           ton and Deck2's BACK (           ) button simul-
                           taneously, turn on the power. The screen for
                           updating the firmware appears.
                           Specify the device containing the file for
                           updating the firmware.
                           If the file is on the built-in hard disk drive,
                           press the Deck1 CUE (          ) button.
                           If the file is on a USB device, press the Deck2
                           CUE (           ) button.

                           Specify the starting of updating the firmware.
                           If the file is on the built-in hard disk drive,
                           press the Deck1 PLAY/PAUSE (              ) but-
                           ton.
                           If the file is on a USB device, press the Deck2
                           PLAY/PAUSE (           ) button.

                           To cancel, turn the power off.




                           Be careful that the power does not get
                           turned off while the firmware is being
                           updated.
