SYMPTOM 1 Compression function is not effective by ACC or CD ON/OFF.
2 Sound skips when playing compression file.
CAUSE 1,2 Software problem.
SERVICE 1 Added ROM correction (IC704), R734 and C719 in CD Core Unit.
REMEDY 2 Replace ROM correction (IC704) in CD Core Unit.
* New parts have a white dot marking on the surface. (Refer to the page 3.)
* Please write markings after Service Remedy #2. (Refer to the page3.)
FACTORY 1 Same as the service remedy.
COUNTER 2 Same as the service remedy. (Overwrite the program to IC704 using JIG.)
-MEASURE *The units which have been done Service Remedy #2 have two markings. (Refer to the
page3.)
Please take new parts from following parts stock place.

When replacing IC 704, new part has a
white dot marking on the surface.

* Write two markings after performing of service remedy#2.
The units which have been done factory countermeasure have already had these markings .
[Operation Check after replacing Rom correction ]
1) BU and ACC ON, and COMP1 or COMP2 is also ON .
(COMP2 has a big difference with original.)
2) Play CD disc. ( -20DB 1KHz )
(Ex. -20DB 1KHz -> ABEX TCD 782 16 TRK)
3) ACC OFF/ON (or Disc in and out)
4) Play CD Disc again. ( same TRK Disc as above mentioned .)
5) If there is no difference in hearing , it's OK for the mode is kept ON .
6) If there is a difference in hearing (the sound becomes small ), it's NG .
