SUBJECT:

French Door Refrigerator door flap needs adjustment.

Symptom: When the left refrigerator section door is closed, the flap does not close
properly, creating a gap and air leakage.




Background: The door flap is too low on the door. The spring-loaded tab at the top of the
flap does not meet the cabinet actuator.

Solution: See the illustration below. Raise the left side door using C clip(s) [1]. Insert the
clip(s) between the hinge grommet [2] and the hinge [3]. Part code DA99-04158A contains 8
C clips, 2 of each thickness (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm). The number of C clips needed
depends on the size of the gap.

Production Improvements applied to new production starting in November, 2012:


Height of top tab increased by 2mm.                              2mm ball added to the bottom of the flap.
