TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
2010 MODELS
DP26640 & DP32640
This guide is divided into 4 sections/pages depending on type of defect:
page 1) No Green LED Power Light (LED never turns "ON")
page 2) Green LED Light is "ON", but Backlights are not "ON", or only turn "ON &
then OFF".
page 3) Green LED Light is "ON", and Backlights are "ON", but there is no video/OSD.
page 4) Green LED Light turns "ON", but turns "OFF" within 10 seconds, or LED cycles
ON & OFF.
Please select the section/page that matches your defect and follow the flow chart.

Green Power LED does NOT turn on. The TV is dead.
Green Power LED:
Does not turn ON.
The TV is dead.
On Main Signal Bd.: no: 0V
Is the "5V_STBY" voltage
supplied?
(see TABLE *1.0)
Unplug (K8C) connector on Main Bd. no: 0V Power Bd. is not working.
On Power Bd.: Is the "5V_STBY"voltage supplied? Replace "Power Bd."
(see TABLE *2.0)
yes: 5V
yes: 5V
Replace "Main Bd."
and "Wiring Harness"
Confirm wire harness connection
between Main Bd. & Power Bd.,
and confirm LED again.
On Main Signal Bd.: no: 0V
Is the "5V_STBY" voltage
on "K8CTR pin 1" ?
Main Bd. is not working.
yes: 5V Replace "Main Bd".
While pushing the
"Power Key SW": is the 4.6V from No voltage (0V) at K8CTR pin 3, or 4.6V always present.
"KEY SW" supplied to "K8CTR
pin 3"?
Key Switch Assy. unit will be broken.
Replace "Key Switch Assy."
yes
Main Bd. is not working.
Replace "Main Bd"

Green Power LED is on, but LCD backlights are not on.
Backlights do not turn on, or only turn on and back off.
Power LED turns ON.
But, LCD Backlight is not ON, or only
turned ON and then back OFF.
Is the 12V supplied from
Power Bd.? no: 0V

On Main Bd.
Is 5V supplied to "Power ON/OFF SW" no: 0V Main Bd. is not working.
(see TABLE*2.0) Replace "Main Bd."
yes:12V
yes: 5V
Replace: "Power Bd."
and "Wire Harness"
Is the 24V (if applicable) supplied from no: 0V
Power Bd. during LED ON time?
(see TABLE*1.1)
Unplug the cable from Power Bd. to Inverter Bd. is not
yes: 24V
Inverter Bd..
working. Replace
Is the 24V supplied from Power Bd. during
"Inverter Bd.".
yes: 24V LED on time?
or
(not applicable)
no: 0V
Power Bd. is not working.
Replace "Power Bd.".
On Main Bd.:
Is the "BL_ON" voltage (3.3V)
supplied from Main Bd.? no: 0V

Main Bd. is not working.
Replace "Main Bd."
yes: 3.3V
Confirm wire harness connection between Main
Bd. & Power Bd., and between Power Bd. and
Inverter Bd.
Inverter Bd. or LCD Panel is not working.
1st: Replace "Inverter Bd."
If Inverter Bd. does not correct problem, then:
2nd: Replace "LCD Panel"

Green Power LED and LCD backlights are on, but no video or OSD.
LCD Backlights are ON.
But, TV has NO VIDEO or OSD.
On Main Bd.:
Is the 12V supplied no: 0V
from Pwer Bd.?
(see TABLE*1.0)
Replace "Power Bd."
yes and "Wire harness".
Is power to T-CON supllied no: 0V
from Main Bd.?
(see TABLE*2.0)
Main Bd. is not working.
yes Replace "Main Bd."
Is LVDS Clock outputed?
(see TABLE*3.0) no: 0V or 1.1V constant
Main Bd. is not working.
Replace "Main Bd."
yes
If the clock output is OK, the
Main Bd. is normally OK, but can
not be 100% sure. If the T Con
Confirm LVDS cable connection. Bd. & LVDS do not the correct
And check for video/OSD again. problem, please try the Main,
before ordering a panel.
T. Cnt. Bd. or LCD Panel is not working.
1st: Replace "T. Cnt. Bd. & LVDS Cable".
If T. Cnt. Bd. & LVDS Cable does not
correct problem, then:

note: The bandwidth of the oscilloscope and probe must be
at least 100 MHZ or higher to check if the clock pluse exists
