Subject: Tape Does Not Eject.                                              Date: May 1, 1995


Symptom:
  (65)          The unit will not eject the tape. Examination of the mechanism shows that one or
                more of the gears on the reel bracket assembly (ref. 128) are damaged.



Solution:       Replace the reel bracket assembly. Prevent recurring damage to the reel bracket
                assembly by installing a mode lever service assembly kit as shown below.
