Subject: Display Shows RESET, Disc # 10 Not Ejected.                    Date: May 11, 1995


Symptom:
  (65)         The display on the controller shows "RESET". When the magazine is ejected,
               disc # 10 remains loaded in the mechanism. This problem may be caused by
               disc # 10 hitting the front edge of the magazine top cover as it is being
               returned to the magazine. This problem is more likely to occur when the
               changer is installed vertically rather than horizontally. When this problem
               occurs, models prior to the CDX-45/65 will have disc # 10 loaded and
               chucked. CDX-45/65 and later models will have disc # 10 loaded but it will
               not be chucked. If the disc is chucked in the CDX-45/65 and later models,
               the problem is caused by something other than the magazine (for example,
               mis-operation of the magazine detect switch).




Solution:      Replace the customer's magazine with a new one which has a beveled front
               edge as shown below.
