Subject: Part Number Discrepancies: Lower Case &                                Date: April 5, 1996
         Spring Arm.


Symptom:
  (**)         Parts different than those described in the service manuals were used in production,
               depending upon the model. Also, the lower case and spring arm assemblies used in
               the CDX-51RF and CDX-71RF are not being supplied as spare parts, therefore, when
               changing either of these parts the other must be changed at the same time.



Solution:      For the CDX-51 and the CDX-71, order the following part when replacing the spring
               arm assemly:

                    12            ARM (SPRING) ASSY                       X-3370-157-1



               For the CDX-51RF and the CDX-71RF, when either of the spring arm assemblies or
               the lower case needs to be replaced, order both of the part numbers shown below
               and replace both on the unit being repaired:
