Subject: Mechanical noise in play mode                                      Date: December 27, 1994


Symptom:
  (64)          A loud mechanical noise may be heard while in the play mode. This is due to a lack
                of oil on the FR gear.



Solution:       Apply a few drops of Sony oil, P/N 7-661-018-18, to the shaft of the FR gear. See
                diagram below.
