Subject: Plastic Screw Kit Available for Mounting Tape                        Date: June 14, 1996
         Transport Motor


Symptom:
  (**)          The original Tape transport motor for the listed models is no longer available.
                Replacement motors are available under the following part numbers: X-3390-801-1,
                X-3390-802-1, 1-541-427-11, and 1-541-745-11. The negative (minus) side of the
                replacement motors are internally connected to the motor case. The case ground
                may damage the negative power supply in a symmetrical +,- power supply
                configuration.




Solution:       Use screw and washer kit, part number X-3371-447-1, when mounting a
                replacement motor in a model using a symmetrical +,- power supply.
