Subject: Note when replacing Optical Block                                           Date: June 14, 1996


Symptom:
 (****)                 There are several types of optical block assemblies and it is sometimes necessary to
                        remove a mounted component when installing a new optical block assembly. In
                        instances where component removal is required, a notice is packed with the
                        replacement part outlining the specific component to remove. In addition to the
                        component outlined in the notice remove the capacitor listed below.



Solution:               Remove the following capacitor when replacing the Optical Block assembly.
                        Removing C168 produces no side effect.
