(234) Faint Vertical Sweep Bar in the PIP (Picture and Picture).
Solution: If this vertical bar appears, please apply the following Circuit Change:

Remove UV board from the chassis, and make the following changes.
1.. Change the value of capacitor C264, from (100uf/16V) to 470uf/25V capacitor.
2. Change the value of capacitor C301 from (100uf/16V) to 470uf/16V.
3. Add Jumper Wire, ( older side of board), between JW245 (CM302 side) and JW241
S JW241 is not
mounted. Solder wire to left side of JW241. (UV stamp side) on the Solder side of the UV board as shown on
Illustration 1. Dress wire as shown in Illustration 1.
4. Cut foil pattern as shown on Illustration 1 Right side of R261(solder side) thereby openingthe connection
between R261 and Pin #19 of CN262)
Add Jumper Wire to right side of R261.
Cut the foil pattern, See Illustration number 1, at Pin #19 of CN262.
Connect the jumper wire from R261 to pin 19 as shown on Illustration 1.
Jumper wire should be as short as possible, but dressed as shown in Illustration No.1.
Remove AV board from the chassis and make the following changes:
1. Cut the foil pattern of the AV board as shown Illustration 3. Cut ground pattern at point A. Cut pattern
between Points B & C.
2.. Add Jumper Wire to the Tuner ground lug, right side of cut A. See Illustration 2
Connect the other side of jumper wire to the UV board, solder side, ound side of CM302 as shown in

Illustration.
3. Remove Jumper Wire (JW096 and JW097) from A board. (See Illustration 3)
