Subject: Data Changed By Reset In Factory Mode                                     Date: February 22, 2000


Symptom:
 (172X)                The R, G, B V-COM set up data may change when a reset is performed in factory
                       mode.



Solution:              To correct this condition:

                       1.    Make a note of V-COM data before resetting the device.
                       2.    Reenter V-COM data after reset.
                       3.    In case where data is not noted before resetting, perform the V-COM
                       adjustment in section 3 of the service manual.


Note:                   This information affects units with firmware version 1.10 and earlier. To confirm version
                        number, go to Set Information in the Service Mode of the main menu.
