Subject: Intermittent Or No Remote Operation Date: August 11, 2000
Symptom:
(2151) Intermittent or no remote operation.
Solution: The multi-button 4-068-307-04 can cause the remote sensor mounted on the "A"
Board to bend. This could cause an intermittent connection on the board and loss of
remote operation. If the customer should complain of this symptom, the following
changes will need to be performed:
Multibutton pushing
on sensor
1. Please re-solder the pins of the remote sensor. (See Fig. 2)
Re-solder the pins of the sensor

2. Cut the Multibutton plastic housing as shown in Figures 3 through 4.
Area of Multibutton to be cut is shown in
the picture.

2. Cut these ribs at least 1mm. (See figures 4, 5, 6, & 7)

1. Cut with pliers at least 1mm of the plastic as the
picture shows in Fig 5.

2. Cut the rib back as a groove as shown in the
picture & diagram of Fig 6.

3. Finally, cut the right side of the rib as
