Subject: Picture block noise and audio dropouts on DVB-S signal.

Model(s) Affected: TX-P42/46/50GW20 TX-P42GS21 TX-P42/50V20E TX-P42/46VT20E
                              TX-P42GF22 TX-P42GT24 TX-P50V20L Chassis: GPF13DE

Symptom / Cause: When watching some satellite HD channels, there is a possibility of picture block noise and
audio dropouts occurring during the first 15 minutes after switching on the set.
Remedy / There are two different modification methods and one common step.
Method: Method 1 Method 2
Part 1 Exchange the XS-PCB assembly OR Modify the XS-PCB assembly
Part 2 Change the internal wire dressing

See page 3 for applicable serial numbers
Please confirm with your local Panasonic Support section regarding the service policy for the XS-PCB.

Method 1: Exchange the XS-PCB Assembly

Part 1: Order a replacment XS-PCB (Part number: TXFUX01LQUEG) and return the original XS-PCB.
Part 2: Change the internal wire dressing. See page 3 for details

Method 2: XS PCB Assembly Modification

Part 1: Step 1: XS PCB Modification
Check the suffix on the PCB label (Fig. 1):
If the suffix on the label is "AC", then proceed to "Part 1: Step 2:" (page 2)
If the suffix on the label is "AB", then replace the capacitors on the original XS-PCB with new parts
   as indicated below:
                                                                                     Fig.1: label with suffix "AC"
