           Keysight U5855A Firmware Upgrade Procedures
========================================================================

System Requirements

   1. U5855A Firmware upgrade program file (filename: U5855A.bin)

   2. AC to DC adapter P/N:0950-5481

   3. SD Card P/N: 5190-7423 

   4. Personal computer with Microsoft Windows with SD card reader
   
 
Firmware Update Procedure:

   1. Create a folder named "Update" at the root directory in the SD memory card. Example, E:\Update\U5855A.bin

   2. Copy the file "U5855A.bin" into the "Update" folder.

      Caution: It is not recommended to copy the firmware directly from PC to SD card via USB interface for fear of corrupting the firmware file.


   3. Check the current firmware version at Settings\System Info before any upgrade process and note down current firmware version.

   5. Power off the U5855A unit and connect the AC-DC power adapter to the unit to avoid power disconnect during firmware update.

      Caution: Ensure the unit is powered through adapter throughout the upgrade process to ensure smooth upgrade operation.


   5. Insert the SD card which have been updated with the latest firmware to the main unit.

   6. Turn on the power while simultaneously pressing the "Trigger" and "Camera/Zoom" keys until the firmware update message appears on the 

      display. Trigger Key and Camera/Zoom button can be released When the firmware upgrading process starts.
   
      Caution: DO NOT power off the unit or pull out the SD card while upgrading the firmware.


   7. Once the upgrade is complete, power off the unit. 

   8. Power On the unit again to confirm firmware version at Settings\System Info.
