                                                                                                          cuit is a non-linear ballast resistance
                                                                                                          which limits the amplitude of oscil
                                                                                                          lation. The ballast element adjusts
                                                                                                          its resistance either higher or lower
                                                                                                          so as to compensate for any tendency
                                                                                                          of the oscillations to vary in ampli
