Network Printer Board-F1 (GP-F1) is a network support printer board supporting PS3 which is installed
in model GP605/605P.

DETAILS
Modifications in Ver. 1.01
No. Item Description
1 Image RUNNER support GP605/605P and ImagerRUNNER600/60 become selectable when booting
in order to introduce into the USA market.
1. System Software
If [US] is specified from [English] in [Language Setup], it starts as iR
version, and if [Others] is specified from [English], it starts as GP version.
2. Printer Driver
It is iR version if installed from "US-English", and it is GP version if installed
from "International-English".
There is no difference in function between them.
2 If you install multiple printer =Printer Driver for Windows 9x=
drivers (one for each PS
Board Unit), the automatic
configuration feature of the
printer driver, although
intended to configure a
single PS board, affects all
installed printer drivers.
3 Boot ROM updated As the manufacturer changes Ethernet chip (from DEC to Intel), initialization
process of GP PS-F1 is changed.
The latest Boot ROM supports both Ethernet Chips.

RESTRICTIONS
Here are the restrictions in GP PS-F1 Ver. 1.0 and Ver. 1.01.

1 Mail Box jobs with Adobe =All Printer Drivers=
Page Maker 6.5 When Adobe Page Maker 6.5 is used, the data is printed out on the paper
even if Mail box is specified.
2 Windows Point and Print not =Printer Driver for Windows 95/98=
supported for Windows The Windows Point and Print feature is not supported for Windows 95/98
95/98 clients of a Windows NT server. This feature is supported only for Windows
NT clients.
Basically, this problem lies on Adobe PS driver 4.2.4.
3 PIPE Protocol =Fiery Downloader=
When configuring the connection to the GP PS-F1 (in the Add New Server
or Modify Server setting dialog box), you may see the "PIPE" setting appear
in the Protocol pop-up menu. Do not select this setting as the PIPE protocol
is not supported.
4 Export the Job Log from =Web Spooler=
Web Spooler Defer.: to be supported when PS/PCL of GP-F1 are handled.
This function is supported only by Mac Spooler in the current version.
5 Macintosh Cover Page =Macintosh Printer Driver=
Since the following defects occur if Cover Page is used in Mac Driver, the
use of Cover Page is not recommended.
- If you select the Before Document setting, the document name appears as
Cover Page in the Job Log.
- For jobs with Paper Type set to Transparancy or one of the Interleaving
settings, the cover page is printed twice.
- For 2-sided Printing Jobs and Booklet jobs, the cover page is treated as
part of the document and is not printed on a separate page.

REMARKS
1. Image margins of GP-F1 are 5mm for each side in each paper size.
2. When you use the V. 1.01 printer driver, make sure that the V. 1.01 system is installed.
3. Y2K Compliance
GP F1 is Year 2000 Compliant.
(3-1) GP F1's Job log correctly rolls over from the year 1999 to 2000 and from 2000 to 2001.
(3-2) GP F1 correctly handles the leap days (February 29th) in the year 2000.
COMING UPGRADE
To be upgraded at the end of July with PCL5e support and Full Finisher support.
