Location : TRANSFER / SEPARATION CHARGING ASSEMBLY
Subject : DAMAGE TO MICROSWITCH INSIDE REGISTRATION / TRANSFER ASSEMBLY
Reason : When installing a transfer / separation charging assembly, there is the possibility of causing damage to
the microswitch in the registration / transfer assembly. Due to this concern, instructions to follow
during servicing are given.
Details :
The presence the felt holder at the home position or away from it cannot be detected, and error code
E063 is displayed.
When installation of the transfer / separation charging assembly is performed with the felt holder of
the wire cleaner of this assembly at the home position, the protruding part of the felt holder comes
into contact with the microswitch actuator in the registration / transfer assembly. And depending on
how this contact is made, the actuator may deform or detach to result in the quality problem (error
code E063).
Permanent countermeasures will be communicated at a later time.

Servicing : When installing the transfer / separation charging assembly, proceed with the installation work after
moving the wire cleaner with its felt holder to the center. (See P6-59 of Service Manual for details.)

* If the wire cleaner is not moved to the center, it may come into contact with the microswitch
actuator at the home position as shown in the figure below, causing deformation or detachment.
