Model:               AVR-2808 CI, AVR-988

Subject:             Firmware Update

Symptom: 1) When a disc where "DolbyDigital" and "TrueHD" are alternately
recorded is play backed and, when "DolbyDigital" and "TrueHD" are continuously
changed, the sound is not outputted.
2) The AVP-A1HD connected with "DVD-3800BD" or "DVD-2500BT" with HDMI
cable (2m). Noise occurs from surround channel when playback a blue-ray disc
"The Golden Compass (NA version)".
The countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Solution: We corrected the MICON Software so that the malfunction does not
occur.
MODIFICATION: We will supply the following program files. Therefore, please
install the Writer Software to a PC and update your unit before using Setup Tool,
by means of the Writer Software.

6-1. The exclusive Writer Software to be installed to the PC. FWCV_AVR_AVC-
2808_V0058_SETUP.exe
6-2. An exclusive Writer Software: (The Short Cut of the following Exclusive
Writer Software is created on the Desk-top of the PC, after the installation.)
FWCV_AVR_AVC-2808_V0058.exe

(The exclusive Writer Software for the AVR-2808/AVR-988 that was installed by
means of the Installation Software on the above item #6-1).
