Subject:             Countermeasure for a Spindle Motor malfunction.


Symptom: In some cases the Spindle Motor generates an unusual
sound/noise during the playback of a disc. This symptom was found to occur
specifically in units using a Johnson's spindle motor.


Solution: Replace the DVD Mechanism.
