Subject:   Correction of the Firmware.
Countermeasure is applicable only upon claim from the customer.

Symptom: 1) Blu-Ray Players with Ver.1.118 won't play "CASINO".
2) Can not select "Japanese Dolby TrueHD 5.1ch" and we can select only "2ch"
when play a BD-disc (Title: AKIRA).
3) Customer noticed that when he used the "Selected Scenes" feature on Blu-ray
DVD "Never Say Never Again" MGM Title, the player will freeze and has to
turned off to reset.
4) The player could not search correctly on "LIVE IN VEGAS/CELINE DION"
when we start playback after having chosen DolbyThruHD among a sound menu
of DISC1 and search TT=1 CH=19/19, a search takes time, and playback of
TT=4 CH=1 start.
5) "SONG SELECTION" is selected with MAIN MENU of BD disc "JIMMY EAT
WORLD". However, the displayed item cannot be selected.

Solution: We corrected the firmware so that no malfunction occurs.
MODIFICATION: We will supply the following program files for updating the
subject models. Therefore, please record each program file onto a blank CD-R.

Note: Upon recording the Disc:
 a) When recording the supplied file on the blank CD-R, the format shall be
"ISO9660" and the session shall be "CLOSE".
b) When recording the supplied file on the disc, please use the lowest recording
speed that is available on your PC. If the file is recorded at a higher speed, the
rewriting operation may fail due to improperly recorded data on the disc.

1) Rewriting procedures of the FE/BE ROMs.
(1) Turn the Power Supply of the unit on. Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and
open the Disc Tray.
(2) Put the recorded CD-R on the Disc Tray and press the buttons on the remote
control in the order of "9", "8", "7", "6" and "POP UP MENU/MENU".
(3) The Disc Tray closes, the FL Display indicates "F/W-UP" and the update of
the firmware starts automatically.
(4) After indicating the "Ver: 1119" on the FL Display, the Disc Tray opens
automatically.
(5) Take out the Disc from the Disc Tray.
(6) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Disc Tray.
(7) Do not turn off the Power Supply of the unit!
(8) The FL Display indicates from "0%" to "100%".
(9) The FL Display indicates "100%", and then indicates the checksum.
(10) The new firmware is installed completely.
(11) Pull out AC cable from the AC Strip.

2) Confirmation of the version:
(1) Press the "OPEN/CLOSE" button and close the Disc Tray.
(2) Please confirm! "NO DISC" on the FL Display.
(3) Press the buttons on the remote control in the order of "1", "2", "3", "4" and
"DISPLAY".

(4) The following firmware versions appear on the GUI.




Cautions during the rewriting operation:
1) Do not turn the Power of the unit OFF during the rewriting operation.
2) If the Display isn't turning into the following version of the firmware during the
rewriting operation, wait longer than 10 minutes after closing the Disc Tray.
Then, turn off the Power of the unit and start the rewriting operation from the
beginning again.
