Model:               S-101, S-301


Subject:             Updating the System MICON:


Symptom: The following symptoms have been confirmed during the DEMO
mode, and the TRAY LOCK mode to be used for preventing the disc theft while
on display at the store.
1) The unit does not recognize the USB at the time of starting up and
cancellation. (S-301 only)
2) If the channel level of the Sub Woofer was set between +1dB and +4dB, the
unit limits the maximum Volume level (+18dB) to the lower level between -1 dB
and -4dB. (Both S101 and S301)


Solution: MODIFICATION (Update of the System MICON):
Record each program file separately onto a blank CD-R, and update the subject
models upon necessity.

Note:
1) The above symptom does not affect general operation of the subject models.
Therefore, modification for the customer's unit is not necessary.
2) Please be sure to record a dummy file together with the program file when
recording the program file for updating the model S-101 on the blank CD-R.
