 Subject:             Abnormal sound/Error code C3100/Broken Contact glass
 Model:               FS-1028MFP/1128MFP

Phenomena The following phenomena may occur when scanning originals from the Contact glass.

                 1. Abnormal sound may occur.
                 2. Error code C3100 (ISU home position error) may occur (The Contact glass contacts the
                    optical unit, when the optical unit moves).
                 3. The Contact glass may break.
Cause            The Contact glass may disengage from the latch with the ribs, that fix the Contact glass at the
                 ISU lower frame. This is due to the improper fixing position of the Contact glass.
Solution         The position of the Contact glass has been changed (Parts frame ISU top assy SP(302LW94100)).
