Subject Measure against C3100 ISU Home Position Error
Model FS-3040MFP, FS-3140MFP
Topic
If the 2-pin wire is pinched between the mounting bracket for the CONNECT R PWB (302J101050) and the ferrite
core and the ferrite core is pushed by the right cover, the wire coating may be damaged. Therefore, the following
changes were made.
In case that the 2-pin wire coat was damaged and causes ground fault, the F3 fuse on the CONNECT L PWB
(302LW94190) may be blown and C3100 error may appear. (C3100: ISU home position error)
Content of Changes
The wire protective sheet (No.1) was applied to the 2-pin wire, which is aligned to the CONT.BOX side in order to
protect the 2-pin wire coating.

Field Measure:
Please align the 2-pin wire to the CONT.BOX side when fitting the right cover so that it will not contact the
metal plate edge.
In case that C3100 error appears after the F3 fuse was blown and there is no connection, please refer to the
explanation below for more details on the corrective action.
1. Replace the CONNECT L PWB (302LW94190).
2. If the 2-pin wire is damaged, replace the part with the new part CONN.CORD ASSY S03614
(302LW46020).
3. Apply the wire protective sheet (No.1) in order to isolate the 2-pin wire from the metal plate edge.
4. Align the 2-pin wire to the CONT.BOX side.

How to check if the F3 fuse is blown
The F3 fuse may be blown if C3100 appears. Please check as follows.
It is not possible to visually control if the F3 fuser is blown or not.

It is possible to judge if the F3 fuse is blown by checking the connection between the pin 1 of YC2 connector and
the pin 9 of YC7 connector. Please replace the CONNECT L PWB (302LW94190) if the fuse is blown and there is
no connection.
