Subject: Error code C3100 (ISU home position)
Model: FS-3040MFP/3140MFP
Phenomenon The F3 Fuse on Connect L PWB (302LW94190) may become damaged and error code C3100
(ISU home position error) may occur.
Cause The 2-pin wire coating may be damaged, due to pinching between the mounting bracket (For
the Connect L PWB) and the ferrite core. In this case the ferrite core is pushed by the right
cover, resulting in damage to the wire coating.
Solution The Sheet drive pro (302KV03431) has been applied to the 2-pin wire, and has been aligned
to the Cont.box side to protect the wire coating.

Field measure 1. Please align the 2-pin wire to the Cont.box side when fitting the right cover, so that contact
with the metal plate edge is avoided.
2. When error code C3100 occurs (F3 Fuse damage and connection is not possible), please
perform the following steps:
2.1. Replace the Connect L PWB (302LW94190).
2.2. If the 2-pin wire is damaged, replace it with the latest type. (Conn.cord assy S03614).
2.3. Add the Sheet drive pro (302KV03431) to isolate the 2-pin wire from the
metal plate edge.
2.4. Align the 2-pin wire to the Cont.box side.

Checking if the F3 fuse is damaged
Check the connection between Pin 1 of the YC2 connector and Pin 9 of the YC7 connector. If the F3 fuse has
been damaged and there is no connection, replace the Connect L PWB with the latest type. Please note that it is
not possible to visually confirm if F3 fuse has been damaged.
