Note 1. If the functional test is performed with the digital TV set not connected to a telephone line, modem errors will happen.
2. If "shift + }" on your pc keyboard is not entered, about 10 seconds later, the functional test ends and then the TV set
automatically returns to the normal operation.

6-2-2 Explanation of each step
1. If it shows status information periodically on your pc screen, the host controller in DTTV is alive and
you can execute diagnostic (functional) test (6-2-1 !).
2. If it doesn't show any status information periodically host controller had problem(s) and you can't
execute diagnostic (functional) test .
Connect your PC to DTTV with serial (RS-232C) cable (6-2-1 @).
3. The sereal port setting is as follows (6-2-1 $):
-Baud rate 38400
-Data bits 8
-Parity N
-Stop bits 1
-Flow control N
Enter the Factory Mode. Press the remote control key in the following sequence:
PICTURE OFF PICTURE OFF
DISPLAY MENU MUTE
(RED KEY) (RED KEY)
4. Use the channel key and volume keys (up/down) or pointing knob to move the cursor.
Select the digital board.
Press the "volume up" key or move pointing knob to right.
Select the Functional-test.
Press the "volume up" key or move pointing knob to right.
One more Press the "volume up" key or move pointing knob one more to confirm
Press the "shift" and "}(])" keys on your PC keyboard.
Then diagnostic (functional) test will be automatically executed.
The diagnostic results will be shown on your pc screen(6-2-1 ^).
5. You can acknowledge the failed components .
After finishing diagnostic test, DTTV will be automatically reset and enter into normal operation
(6-2-1 &).
6. Then you can quit the service mode by pressing "power off"(RED) on your remote-control (6-2-1 1).
