Subject: Sound Skip, Or Disc Does Not Play.                                Date: December 27, 1994


Symptom:
  (57)         The disc skips (may often only be heard as a very brief "tick" sound), or the disc does
               not play. The complaint may be that these problems only occur when certain discs
               are played; these discs may be somewhat thinner than discs which do not exhibit the
               problems.

Solution:      Determine if the problem is caused by thin discs, by playing the Changer Test Disc
               (specially manufactured "thin" disc). The changer should be able to play this disc
               (both vertically and horizontally) without skipping.

               If the discs skips, replace the Chuck Plate. If the disc still skips, replace the OMD
               Chassis also.
