required for this release.
- Disk space requirements:
8.5MB of free disk space to install and operate this application.
- Note that while TDSDDM2 will run on two channel instruments the "Sector" mode
should not be used on those instruments since it requires three channels.
- Refer to the TDSDDM2 manual for more requirements.
- The JRE will be installed when TDSDDM2 is installed. If the JRE is deleted
then re-install TDSDDM2
- This software download offers Five (5) Free Trials for evaluation. Once the
five free trials are exhausted, a software security key may be purchased from
Tektronix to permanently enable the software application on your oscilloscope.

monitor causes the contents of the window to be displayed on the

- The possibility exists that if the same reference memory is selected to

waveform may be stored in a ref. The work around is to ensure that each
reference memory is used for only one waveform.

5. Installation
Normally, the TDSDDM2 application resides on the hard drive of your
oscilloscope. If the application is not installed on hard disk perform
the following steps to install the application from the Optional
Applications Software on a Windows-Based Oscilloscope Compact disc (CD-ROM.)
1. If the keyboard is not installed, connect it to the oscilloscope rear
panel (the optional-accessory keyboard plugs into the DDM connector).
2. Power on the oscilloscope to start Windows.
3. Install the optional applications software CD in the CD-ROM/DVD Drive
of the oscilloscope.
4. The AutoOpen utility will start the installation program.
5. Select the option 'Install Products'.
6. Select the option 'Disk Drive Measurement'.
7. Select the option 'INSTALL NOW'.
8. Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield Wizard. If Java
Run-time Environment (JRE 1.4.2_04) software is not previously installed
then the InstallShield Wizard will prompt for installing it.
Click "Yes" when prompted for installing JRE 1.4.2 and the InstallShield
will install it.
The oscilloscope must reboot to complete the installation process.
9. You will need to enter the authorized Option Installation Key to enable
the application. The key is specific to the serialized oscilloscope and
options for which it was purchased.
Do not enter this key until all application software that you have
purchased has been installed. To enter the key number, follow these steps:
a. If the oscilloscope powered on in the toolbar mode (default), select
the Menu button (upper right corner of the display) to put the
oscilloscope into menu-bar mode. In menu-bar mode you should see a
PC-style menu across the top of the display.
b. Go to the Utilities menu in the menu bar and select Option
Installation.
c. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the alphanumeric key
number exactly as it is printed on the rear-panel label.
NOTE:
If the AutoOpen utility fails to start, then Select the My Computer icon.
In the Exploring My Computer window, select the CD-ROM (for example, D:)
drive.
Select the file Launch.exe to start the installation program. Complete
