1. System Requirements

   - A DPO7000 series Oscilloscope with Firmware version 3.0.0 or above
   - A DPO/DSA 70000 series Oscilloscope with Firmware version 3.0.0 or above
   - A TDS5000B series Oscilloscope Firmware version 2.0.0 or above
   - A TDS6000B Series Oscilloscope Firmware version 5.1.2 or above
   - A TDS6000C Series Oscilloscope Firmware version 5.1.5 or above
   - A TDS7000 / CSA7000 / TDS6000 series Oscilloscope with Firmware version 2.5.3 or
     above

   - TekScope IVI driver and IVI Shared Components Version 2.0.0

   - TekVISA 2.0.11 or above

   - TekScope : Tek Scope latest Firmware updates can be downloaded from the Tektronix
     website at http://www.tek.com/Measurement/scopes/index.html. Click on 
     "Software & Drivers" under the "Resources" set of links on the left. 

   - Minimum amount of disk space required for the application: 15MB

2. Features

   i.  Report generator adds Report Generation capabilities like Template creation,
       Layout creation and generation of Reports using the Template or Layout specified 
       to optional applications DPOPWR, TDSET3, TDSRT-Eye, TDSPWR3 and TDSHT3 

   ii. You can access the online help or the PDF of the online help without starting the 
       application:
       Start->Programs->TekApplications->->Report Generator Help

3. Known Problems / Issues

   i.  When an RTF file(Report exported and saved to rtf format) is opened In Windows office XP 
       or Office 2003 there might be issues in the format like the alignment or image size 
       differences. This is a known issue and work is ongoing to fix this issue.

4. Installation

       i. If the keyboard is not installed, connect it to the oscilloscope rear panel
          (the optional-accessory keyboard plugs into the USB connector).
  
      ii. Power on the oscilloscope to start Windows.

     iii. Install the optional applications software CD in the CD-ROM reader 
          of the oscilloscope.

      iv. The autorun utility will start the installation program.  If the autorun 
          utility doesn't start up automatically, browse to the CDROM and double-click
          the launch.exe.  

       v. Select the option 'Install Products'.

      vi. Select the option 'Report Generator'.

     vii. Select the option 'Install Now'.

    viii. Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield Wizard. 

    After the installation is complete. The Report Generator Software is ready for use.


NOTE : If an older version of Report Generator is present on the Oscilloscope than this version,
       the Report Generator will upgrade to a new version.       
       
Recommended : i)  It is recommended that the Report Generator v3.0.0 or above is to be used with 
                  Optional Applications 3.0.0 or above to ensure a smooth functioning of the
                  application.
             
              ii) It is recommended to Restart the Oscilloscope before using the Report Generator 
                  with Applications

5. Starting the Application

	Report Generator is a utility for generating reports in Optional applications. 
	It can be launched from the application's menu after launching 	the
	application.

6. Contents of Distribution

   Contents of Distribution are listed in C:\Program Files\TekApplications\ReportGenerator

7. UnInstallation

     i.Select Start->Settings->Control Panel from Windows.
  
    ii.Select "Add/Remove programs".

   iii.Select "Report Generator" from the list of installed softwares and 
       click only on the "Add/Remove" button.
 
    iv.Follow the instructions given by the InstallShield Wizard.
