Console Panel/Rear Console
 Removal -- '96 - 98 Models
 CAUTION: When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.

 NOTE: Take care not to scratch the console panel, rear console, front seat, and related parts.

 Disassemble in numbered sequence.

   Bolt, screw locations                                     Clip locations



         6 x 1.0 mm
         9.8 N-m (1.0 kgf-m,
         7.2 Ibf-ft)


   A/T GEAR POSITION                     SEAT HEATER
   INDICATOR TRIM                        SWITCH
   Disconnect the seat                   (driver's)
   heater switch connectors                                SEAT HEATER
   and indicator light bulb                                SWITCH
   socket.                                                 (passenger's)

                       HOOKS
                                                                              HOLDER

   CONSOLE PANEL
   Disconnect the
   cigarette lighter
   connector.

 Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.

     NOTE:
        If necessary, replace any damaged clips.
        Make sure the wire harnesses are not pinched.
        Make sure the connectors and bulb socket are connected properly.
