MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL
24.Speedometer Gear 15) Remove the oil seal, speedometer shaft and
washer.
A: REMOVAL
1) Remove the manual transmission assembly
from vehicle. (A)
2) Prepare the transmission for overhaul.
3) Remove the oil pipe, neutral position switch, (C)
back-up light switch and harness. , , MT-00677
4) Remove the extension case. (A) Washer
5) Remove the transfer driven gear. (C) Oil seal
6) Remove the center differential. 16) Remove the snap ring from speedometer shaft.

10) Remove the drive pinion shaft assembly.
11) Remove the front differential assembly.
12) Remove the vehicle speed sensor.
13) Remove the snap ring, and then remove the
speedometer driven gear.
