BODY ELECTRICAL - THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM

INSPECTION
1. INSPECT THEFT DETERRENT INDICATOR OPERA-
TION
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 and
negative (-) lead to terminal 6, and check that the indicator light

lights up.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the integration con-
trol panel assembly.

2. INSPECT HORN OPERATION
Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and
negative (-) lead to the horn body, and check that the horn
blows.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the horn.
3. INSPECT HORN CIRCUIT (See page DI-545 )

TINUITY
Tester connection Switch position Specified condition
LOCK No continuity
OFF 1-2
2 1 UNLOCK Continuity
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
If continuity is as specified, inspect the switch circuit.
