                                                        1.      INSPECT TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CONTINUITY
              Right Turn
                                                              Tester connection           Switch position                Specified condition
                                                                    1-2                       Left turn                      Continuity
                                                                        -                     Neutral                      No continuity
                                                                    2-3                      Right turn                      Continuity

                                                        If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

                                                        2.      INSPECT TURN SIGNAL FLASHER OPERATION
                                                        (a)     Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
                     3
  2                                                             2 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3.
                                                        (b)     Connect the 2 turn signal light bulbs connected in parallel
                                                                each other to terminals 1 and 3, then check that the bulbs
      1
                                                                flash.
                                                        HINT:
                                                        The turn signal lights should flash 60 to 120 times per minute.
          Turn Signal Light Bulbs (21 W)
                                               BE1843   If either one of the front or rear turn signal lights has an open
                                                        circuit, the number of flashes is more than 140 per minute.
                                                        If the operation is not as specified, replace the flasher.
