This circuit Sends the SET/COAST, RES/ACC and CANCEL signals (each voltage) to the ECM.

DIAGNOSTICS - CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM (DENSO Made)
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check voltage between terminal CCS of ECM connector and body ground.
PREPARATION:
ON (a) Remove the ECM with connector being connected.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
CHECK:
Measure the voltage between terminals CCS of the ECM con-
nector and the body ground when each control switch is oper-

Neutral 9 - 14 V

MAIN Below 1 V
RES/ACC 2.1 - 4.0 V
SET/COAST 4.0 - 7.1 V
CANCEL 6.0 - 10.1 V

2 Check control switch continuity.
PREPARATION:
RES/ACC (a) Remove the steering wheel center pad.
(b) Disconnect the control switch connector.
CHECK:
Measure the resistance between terminals 4 and 5 of the con-
trol switch connector when the control switch is operated.
Switch Position Resistance
Neutral (No continuity)
CANCEL
SET/COAST RES/ACC 210 - 270
4 5 SET/COAST 560 - 700
CANCEL 1380 - 1700
NG Replace control switch.

3 Check harness and connector between ECM and cruise control switch, and
cruise control switch and body ground (See page IN-28 ).
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.

4 Check cruise control indicator light (See combination meter).
NG Replace combination meter.
