DTC C0226 / 21 - C1228 / 28 ABS & VSC Actuator Solenoid Circuit
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This solenoid goes on when signals are received from the ECU and controls the pressure acting on the wheel
cylinders thus controlling the braking force.

DIAGNOSTICS - ABS WITH EBD & BA & TRAC & VSC SYSTEM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check ABS & VSC actuator solenoid.
PREPARATION:
7 4 3 2 Disconnect the connector from ABS & VSC actuator.

CHECK:
Check continuity between terminals 2 and each of 1, 3, 4, 7, 8,
9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 of ABS & VSC actuator.
OK:
Continuity

NG Replace ABS & VSC actuator.
OK
2 Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between skid control
ECU and ABS & VSC actuator (See page IN-31 ).
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
OK
If the same code is still output after the DTC is deleted, check the contact condition of each con-
nection. If the connections are normal, the ECU may be defective.
