DTC C1241 / 41 IG Power Source Circuit
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This is the power source for the ECU, hence the brake actuators.
DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area
At a vehicle speed of 6 km/h (4 mph) or more, the condition
that low battery voltage is 9.8 V or less (during non-opera- S Battery
C1241 / 41 tion of ABS control) or 9.4 V or less (during operation of S Charging system
ABS control) and high battery voltage is more than 17.4 V, S Power source circuit
continues for 0.5 sec. or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check ECU-IG fuse.
PREPARATION:
Engine Room Side J/B ECU-IG
No. 1 Remove the ECU-IG fuse from the driver side J/B No. 1.
CHECK:
Check continuity of the ECU-IG fuse.
OK:
Continuity

NG Check for short circuit in all the harness and
components connected to ECU-IG fuse (See at-
tached wiring diagram).
OK
2 Check battery positive voltage.
OK:
Voltage: 10 - 14 V
NG Check and repair the charging system (See
page CH-2 ).

3 Check voltage between terminals IG1 (56) and GND (29, 83) of skid control ECU.
ON PREPARATION:
Disconnect the connector from the skid control ECU.

56 29 CHECK:
(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(b) Measure the voltage between terminals 56 and 29, 83 of
skid control ECU harness side connector.
OK:
(+) (-)
Voltage: 10 - 14 V

OK Check and replace skid control ECU.
NG
4 Check continuity between terminals GND (29, 83) of skid control ECU and body
ground.
LOCK CHECK:
Measure the resistance between terminal 29, 83 of skid control

ECU harness side connector and body ground.
OK:
Resistance: 1 or less

NG Repair or replace harness or connector.

Check for open circuit in harness and connector between skid control ECU and ECU-IG fuse (See
page IN-31 ).
