    DTC                  41              IG Power Source Circuit

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This is the power source for the ECU, hence for the CPU, and actuator.
    DTC No.                     DTC Detecting Condition                                                Trouble Area
               Detection of any of conditions from 1. through 3.
               1. With vehicle speed at 3 km/h or more, IG1 or +BS termi-
                  nal voltage is 9.5V or below for 10 sec. or longer.

               2. With IG1 terminal voltage at 9.5V or below, solenoid

                  relay open, pump motor relay open, solenoid fault de-

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

  1      Check ECU-IG fuse.

Instrument Panel J/B                     PREPARATION:
                           ECU-IG
                                         Remove ECU-IG fuse from Instrument Panel J/B.
                                         CHECK:
                                         Check continuity of ECU-IG fuse.
                                         OK:
                                             Continuity

                                           NG         Check for short in circuit all the harness and
                                                      components connected to ECU-IG fuse (See at-
                                                      tached wiring diagram).


  OK



  2      Check battery positive voltage.

OK:
      Voltage: 10 - 14 V

                                           NG         Check and repair the charging system
                                                      (See page CH-2 ).

  OK

   3      Check voltage between terminals IG1 and GND of ABS actuator connector.

                                               PREPARATION:
         ON
                                               Disconnect ABS actuator connector.
              15                               CHECK:
                       8
                                               (a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
                                               (b) Measure voltage between terminals IG1(15) - GND(8,
                                                    23) of ABS actuator harness side connector.
                       23                      OK:
                                                    Voltage: 10 - 14 V

                                                 OK        Check or replace ABS actuator assembly.


  NG



   4      Check continuity between terminals GND of ABS actuator connector and body
          ground.

 LOCK                                          CHECK:
                                               Measure resistance between terminal GND (8, 23) of ABS ac-
                                               tuator harness side connector and body ground.
                                (+)            OK:
                            8
                                                     Resistance: 1  or less
                                (-)
                       23

                                                 NG        Repair or replace harness or connector.


  OK



  Check for open circuit in harness and connector between ABS actuator and ECU-IG fuse
  (See page IN-31 ).
