Back Door Key Lock and Unlock Switch Circuit

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The back door courtesy switch goes ON when back door key cylinder is opened and goes OFF when the
back door is closed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

   1    Check operation of back door courtesy light.

CHECK:
Check that back door courtesy light goes OFF when back door courtesy switch is pushed, and comes ON
when switch is not pushed.

                                                NG         Check and repair back door courtesy light cir-
                                                           cuit (See page BE-31 ).

   2     Check for open in harness and connector between theft deterrent ECU and back
         door courtesy switch (See page IN-31 ).


                                          NG         Repair or replace harness or connector.

  Check and replace theft deterrent ECU. *1


                                       *1: When there is a malfunction that prevents the theft deterrent
                                       system from being set, proceed to the next numbered circuit in-
                                       spection shown on matrix chart (See page DI-532 ).
