INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PREPARATION:
E1 (a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(b) Using SST, connect terminals Ts and E1 of DLC1.

(c) Start the engine.

1 Check operation of tire pressure warning standardization switch.
CHECK:
When press the tire pressure warning standardization switch
and check that the tire pressure warning light flashes 3 times
then it goes off.

OK Check the air pressure of the tire and adjust it to
the specified pressure, after then initialize this
system (See page DI-209 ).

2 Check tire pressure warning standardization switch.
PREPARATION:
(a) Remove the tire pressure warning standardization switch.
(b) Remove the connector.
CHECK:
Check continuity between terminals 1 and 2 of tire pressure
warning standardization switch when the switch is ON and OFF.
OK:
Switch position Condition

ON (pushed) Continuity
OFF (released) No continuity (1M or higher)
NG Replace the tire pressure warning standardiza-
tion switch.
OK
3 Check for open circuit in harness and connector between ABS ECU and tire
pressure warning standardization switch, tire pressure warning standardization
switch and body ground (See page IN-31 ).
NG Repair or replace harness or connector.
OK
Check and replace ABS actuator assembly.
