7. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK MOTOR OPERATION
(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
3 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2, and check that
3 2 the door lock link moves to UNLOCK position.

(b) Reverse the polarity and check that the door lock link
moves to LOCK position.
If operation is not as specified, replace the door lock assembly.

the door lock link moves to UNLOCK position.

11. w/ Theft Deterrent System:

12. INSPECT INTEGRATION RELAY OPERATION
HINT:
When the relay circuit is as specified, inspect the door lock sig-
1 nal.
(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the voltmeter to termi-
nal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9.
(b) Set the door lock control switch to UNLOCK and check
that the voltage rises from 0 V to battery positive voltage

I19469 for approximately 0.2 seconds.
(c) Reverse the polarity of the voltmeter leads.
(d) Set the door lock control switch to LOCK and check that
the voltage rises from 0 V to battery positive voltage for
1 approximately 0.2 seconds.
If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
