BODY - FRONT SEAT (Power Adjuster Type)

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
S The following is the seat heater replacement procedure.
S Care should be taken during operation to protect the seat
cover from scratches, dirt or accidental cuts.
1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT (See page BO-1 15)
2. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER AND SEAT CUSHION
COVER (See page BO-1 16)
3. TURN SEAT COVER INSIDE OUT
4. REMOVE SEAT WIRE
(a) Seat cushion cover:
Remove the 3 seat wires from the seat cushion cover.
(b) Seatback cover:
Remove the 2 seat wires from the seatback cover.
5. REMOVE SEAT HEATER
(a) Seat cushion cover:
Cut the 8 tack pins which are fastened to the seat heater,
then remove the seat heater.
(b) Seatback cover:
Cut the 8 tack pins which are fastened to the seat heater,
then remove the seat heater.
6. INSTALL NEW SEAT HEATER
(a) Set a new seat heater.
HINT:
Face the marked side (mark indication) to the seat cushion pad
and seatback pad.
(b) Using a tacker, attach tack pins to the seat heater as
shown in the illustration below.
Tacker: BANZAI 303XT or equivalent
NOTICE:
Do not substitute other metal part in place of tack pins.
Insufficient distance between the heater and cover may re-
sult in damage to the heater.
HINT:
S Attach tack pins on the seam side so that the wire can be
threaded through the hole from the fold side.
S Sewing thread can be substituted for tack pins.
However, allow a distance of 6 - 7 mm (0.24 - 0.28 in.)
between both sewed parts of the heater and cover.

7. INSTALL SEAT WIRE
(a) Seat cushion cover:
Install the 3 seat wires to the seat cushion cover.
(b) Seatback cover:
Install the 2 seat wires to the seatback cover.
HINT:
Listing Pocket Pass the wire over the seat heater as shown in the illustration.
8. REVERSE SEAT COVER BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL

9. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER AND SEAT CUSHION
COVER (See page BO-121 )
10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT (See page BO-123 )
