REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATES
2. REMOVE COWL SIDE BOARDS
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVERS

: 5 Clips 4. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the front pillar garnish.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) w/ Tweeter speaker:
Disconnect the connector.
(c) Employ the same manner described above to the other
side.

7. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER

8. REMOVE COMBINATION SWITCH

: 3 Clips 9. REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 2 screws and hood open lever.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and lower finish panel then discon-
nect the connector.
10. REMOVE NO.1 SAFETY PAD INSERT
Remove the 2 bolts and insert.

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the No.2 finish panel.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

12. DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR
(a) Using a screwdriver, pry out the glove compartment door
finish plate.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Remove the airbag connector from the glove compart-
ment door finish plate.
(c) Disconnect the airbag connector.
H02740 NOTICE:
When handling the airbag connector, take care not to dam-
age the airbag wire harness.

13. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT
Remove the 3 nuts, 2 screws and glove compartment.

14. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Using a screwdriver, remove the panel, then disconnect the
connectors.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

15. REMOVE LOWER CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 4 screws and panel, then disconnect the
connector.
(b) Remove the front ash receptacle box from the panel.
(c) Remove the 2 screws and front ash receptacle retainer
from the panel.

16. REMOVE UPPER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 2 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the panel, then disconnect
the connectors.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
17. REMOVE KEY FINISH PLATE

5 Clips 18. REMOVE CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
(a) Remove the 5 screws.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the panel, then disconnect
the connectors.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(c) Remove the 2 screws and heater blower switch from the
panel.

19. REMOVE COMBINATION METER
20. REMOVE RADIO ASSEMBLY
21. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY

22. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
(a) Remove the 2 bolts from the passenger airbag assembly.
Torque: 20 N
