                                      INSPECTION
                                      1.    REMOVE FRONT SEATS
                                      2.    REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATES
                                      3.    REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIMS
                                      4.    REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATES
                                      5.    REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISHES
                                            (See page BO-108 )




                                      6.    REMOVE AIR MIX SERVOMOTOR
                                      (a)   Slide the floor carpet backward.
                                      (b)   Disconnect the connector.
                                      (c)   Remove the 2 screws and servomotor.

                                      7.    Manual A/C:
                       1                    INSPECT SERVOMOTOR OPERATION
                                      (a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
                                            2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1, then check that the
                                            arm turns to "COOL" side smoothly.
                                2     If operation is not as specified, replace the servomotor.
To "COOL"

                                      (b)   Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal
 To "WARM"             1                    1 and negative (-) lead to terminal 2, then check that the
                                            arm turns to "WARM" side smoothly.
                                      If operation is not as specified, replace the servomotor.

                                        Measure resistance between terminals at each servomotor arm

                                                    3-4              Lever at "COOL" position        Approx. 4.8 k

                                        If resistance is not as specified, replace the servomotor.

                                        11.     INSTALL AIR MIX SERVOMOTOR
                                        (a)     Install the servomotor with the 2 screws.
                                        (b)     Connect the connector.
                                        (c)     Slide the floor carpet forward.
