DTC P1575/66 WARNING BUZZER MALFUNCTION
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU receives the alarm demand signal from the ECM and drives the skid control buzzer.
It warns that the vehicle-to-vehicle distance between the vehicle in front and your own vehicle is shortening.

The malfunction code is output when the ECM receives the
S Skid control buzzer assy
P1575/66 buzzer abnormal signal for 0.2 sec. or more while the dynamic
S Skid control buzzer circuit
laser cruise control is in operation.
S Skid control ECU (Brake actuator assy)
HINT:
If the front vehicle in the same lane significantly decrease the vehicle speed slows down or another vehicle
cuts in front of your own vehicle, adequate deceleration cannot be applied and the vehicle-to-vehicle dis-
tance will shorten. At this time, the system sounds the buzzer and the master warning light blinks to warn
the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY
(a) Check that skid control buzzer sounds "ON" and "OFF" with the hand-held tester.
OK Go to step 3

2 INSPECT SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY
(a) Disconnect the skid control buzzer assy connector.

(b) Apply battery positive voltage to the terminals 1 and 2 of
1 skid control buzzer assy connector, check that the buzzer
(+) (-)
sounds.

NG REPLACE SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY
OK
3 CHECK WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(SKID CONTROL BUZZER ASSY -
SKID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between the skid control buzzer assy and
skid control ECU (See page 01-37 ).
NG REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR
CONNECTOR
OK
REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (See page 32-46 )
HINT:
When a malfunction is found in the skid control ECU, replace the brake actuator assy.
