DTC C0278/11 OPEN CIRCUT IN ABS SOLENOID RELAY

DTC C0279/12 SHORT CIRCUIT IN ABS SOLENOID RELAY
CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This relay supplies power to each ABS solenoid. After the ignition switch is turned ON, if the initial check is
OK, the relay goes on.
DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area
S With IG terminal voltage at 9.5 to 17.2 V, when solenoid
C0278/11 relay is turned on, relay contact is "OFF" for 0.2 sec. or
more. S ABS & Traction actuator assy
Immediately after IG1 is turned ON, when solenoid relay is

turned OFF, relay contact is "ON" for 0.2 sec. or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR(+BS TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
(a) Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
GND (-)
(b) Measure the voltage between terminals +BS and GND of
the brake actuator harness side connector.
OK:
Voltage: 10 to 14 V

NG Go to step 2
OK
IF THE SAME CODE IS STILL OUTPUT AFTER THE DTC IS DELETED, CHECK THE CONTACT
CONDITION OF EACH CONNECTION
2 INSPECT FUSE(ABS2 FUSE)
NG CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESS AND
CONNECTOR CONNECTED FUSE AND
REPLACE FUSE
OK
3 INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR(GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
(a) Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
GND (b) Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the skid
control ECU harness side connector and the body
ground.
OK:
Resistance: 1 or less

REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY(See page 32-46 )
