DTC C1224/44 NE SIGNAL CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU receives engine revolution speed signals (NE signals) from the ECM.

Detection of either condition 1. or 2.:
1. When the vehicle speed is 30 km/h (19 mph) or more
and data reception from the ECM is in normal condition,

2. When TRC is in operation, open or short circuit of en-
gine revolution signal continues for 0.24 sec. or more.

2 INSPECT ECM TERMINAL VOLTAGE(NEO TERMINAL)
(a) Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
NEO (+) (b) Measure the voltage between the terminal NEO of the
skid control ECU and body ground under the engine
conditions below.
OK:
Engine condition Voltage
OFF (Ignition switch ON) 3 to 6 V or below 1 V
ON (Idling) 3 to 6 V below 1 V (Pulse)

NG CHECK AND REPLACE ECM

IF THE SAME CODE IS STILL OUTPUT AFTER THE DTC IS DELETED, CHECK THE CONTACT
