INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 INSPECT FUSE(ECU-IG FUSE)
Driver Side J/B: (a) Remove ECU-IG fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
(b) Check continuity of ECU-IG fuse.
OK:
Continuity
ECU-IG NG INSPECT FOR SHORT CIRCUIT IN ALL
HARNESS AND COMPONENTS CONNECTED
F45093 TO ECU-IG FUSE
OK
2 INSPECT BATTERY
(a) Check battery positive voltage.
OK:
Voltage: 10 to 14 V
NG INSPECT CHARGING SYSTEM
OK
3 INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE(IG1 TERMINAL)
In the case of using the hand-held tester:
(a) Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the DATA LIST mode on the hand-held tester.
(d) Check the voltage condition, which is output from the ECU and displayed on the hand-held tester.
OK:
"Normal" is displayed.
When not using the hand-held tester:
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(c) Measure the voltage between terminal IG1 and GND of
the brake actuator harness side connector.
OK:
Voltage: 10 to 14 V
GND IG1 OK REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY

4 INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR(GND TERMINAL CONTINUITY)
(a) Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
GND (b) Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the skid
control ECU harness side connector and the body
ground.
OK:
Resistance: 1 or less
