TRAC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT, TRAC OFF SWITCH CIRCUIT
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This is the TRAC control main switch. When the TRAC cut switch is turned on, the TRAC control goes off
and the TRAC OFF indicator lights up. If the ignition switch is turned OFF, TRAC control surely comes on
the next time the ignition switch is turned ON.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 if you are using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 if you are not using
the hand-held tester.
1 PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER(TRAC OFF INDICATOR
LIGHT)
(a) Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Start the engine.
(c) Select the item "TRAC OFF LIGHT" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the TRAC OFF indicator light
with the hand-held tester.
(d) Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the TRAC OFF indicator light is shown on the combination meter by the
hand-held tester.
OK Go to step 4

3 CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(ECM - SKID CONTROL ECU)
(a) Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between terminals TRC+ and TRC- of the
ECM and terminals TRC+ and TRC- of the skid control ECU (See page 01-37 ).

4 INSPECT TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH
(a) Remove the TRAC control switch.
4 (-) (b) Disconnect the TRAC control switch connector.
(c) Measure resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of the
TRAC control switch when TRAC control switch is on and
off.
3 (+) OK:
