CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
If the manual UP/DOWN function does not operate, the power window motor, the regulator switch or the wire
harness may be malfunctioning.

1 CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE)
(a) Disconnect the P38 regulator switch connector.

2 INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (REAR LH)
(a) Remove the regulator switch.
(b) Check the resistance between the switch terminals when
the switch is operated, as shown in the table below.
Standard:
Terminal No. Regulator Switch Specified Condition
1 - 2, 3 - 4 UP
1 - 2, 4 - 5 OFF Below 1
2 - 3, 4 - 5 DOWN

4 INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY LH (REAR LH)
Counterclockwise (a) Remove the motor (See page 75-48 ).
(b) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
(c) Check that the motor smoothly rotates.
NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except termi-
