KEY REMINDER BUZZER DOES NOT SOUND
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
When the ignition switch is OFF, the key is in the ignition key cylinder and the driver side door is opened,
the multiplex network body ECU transmits a key switch signal and driver side courtesy switch signal to the
combination meter, which causes the buzzer to sound.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
When using hand-held tester:
1 CHECK DTC
(a) Check that there is no abnormality in the communication system by inspecting the communication
function of the multiplex communication system with the hand-held tester.
(1) (ECU unconnected, communication line abnormal) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
(2) (ECU unconnected, communication line abnormal) With code outputs, proceed to B.
B GO TO MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

2 READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER
(a) Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch and the hand-held tester main switch ON.
(c) Select the item D DOOR CTY SW in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the hand-held
tester.
Standard:
ON: Driver side door is open
OFF: Driver side door is closed
NG Go to step 4
(d) Select the item KEY UNLK WRN SW in the DATA LIST and read its value displayed on the hand-held
tester.
Standard:
ON: The key is in the ignition key cylinder
OFF: No key is in the ignition key cylinder
NG Go to step 6
